Our team (IT Software) consists of IPLAB’s students who involve in the program called "Practical Software Development Specialization Program For Advanced IT Personnel Training". Through “Project-Based Learning” (PBL) and with the help of many industry dispatched IT specialists as lecturers, we work hard to improve our skills to become IT specialists in the future.

PBL System Development
Through a "Project-Based Learning (PBL)" style, we are required to form a group consists of 3-5 people and participate in a practical system development for real customers and users (ex. developing an embedded software or enterprise system). Working on the project, it helps improved not only our IT skills, but also knowledge concerning project planning and project management as well.
- Enterprises System PBL: Students conduct interview with customers and acquire hand-on experienced working through system development process (from requirement definition to design, implementation and test).
- Embedded System PBL: The project proceeded through multiple iterations which software development is analyzed, designed and implemented in an objected-oriented approach.
Research and Development Project
The class called “Research and Development Project” requires students to submit deliverable (report, software) which is equivalent to a Master’s thesis. Either as a group or individual project, students can choose to carry out one of the following three project's types under the guidance from faculty member.
- Category 1:Student conducts research individually for a Master’s thesis under the guidance of a faculty adviser. The research includes a practical system development which requires students to utilize their previous learnt skills and knowledge.
- Category 2:Utilizing the results from the previous PBL project, student conducts system development as an expansion of the existing system. Project will be done in a group with similar development process as PBL project.
- Category 3: Faculty member acts as a customer to present system requirements for students to carry out. The project is basically done in group.
